Road Trip!!

Last night kicked of the beginning of First Monday for the year!  The theme for the year is Road Trip – “laugh together, share together -  the incredible journey.”

Our speaker was Tammy Griffin.  She talked to us about the journey that God has taken her on throughout her life.  So many women were inspired and encouraged by her story.  Thank you Tammy!

Connecting Women to God and One another

That is the vision of the women’s ministry.  We will meet as a large group 3 times this year (last night, December – Taste of Christmas, and February) then we will wrap up the year in May with a women’s retreat!

To help us connect with one another we are going to start Grace groups!  Here is what they are all about…

- A small group of women, assigned randomly, who meet once a month to get to know each other better in a relaxed setting.

Growing relationships – connecting with women in a smaller setting and building new relationships.

Reaching out – getting out of comfort zones and meeting new people.  Reaching out to our community (volunteering to serve in the community as a group).

Accountability – the group will provide spiritual accountability.  “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” – Proverbs 27:17

Connection – It’s all about connecting to God and one another.

Encouragement – The bible tells us to “encourage one another and build each other up.”  Be encouragers to each other!

A grace group leader will be contacting you over the next few weeks.    If you are interested in being a grace group leader and you want to join a grace group you can email us at: women@clifec.com.  We are excited about getting started!

We are excited about the journey God is going to take us on this year!

 

P.S. We are very pleased to announce that we raised $82 for the Ramirez family!!  This will help them with transportation as they continue to seek care for their son.  The family appreciates this and asks that you continue to pray for their little boy and their family.  Thanks for giving!
